Shaven Crown Conservation Woods

These 35 acres of wetlands, ferns and wooded uplands are located off of Highland Road, .5 miles from Spofford Road and .3 miles from Ipswich Road.  The vernal pool within this forest is fed by rain and snow as well as the run off from Shaven Crown Hill with an elevation of 925 feet.  There is a small parking area on Highland Road and by walking straight up the mowed area behind the sign, you will see a second sign leading you to the entrance which is on the edge of the woods.
