Snow Shoeing

Bald Hill > comes up big again, especially around Crooked Pond. The trail along the pond is sheltered in the winter time and, on a sunny day, it is positively WARM. It seems the beaver activity is subsiding in this area, so water obstacles aren't the big concern they once were. — Mary Ellen Iorio

The Lord Woodlot offers nice snowshoeing trails, too. There is a beaver pond and a barred owl box that offer the possibility of spotting wildlife. The Lord Woodlot also features some interesting rock outcroppings.— Mary Ellen Iorio
