Mountain Biking

How lucky we are to have Bald Hill > in our town! With many miles of single-track trails and dirt roads, a happy rider can spend a few hours in Bald Hill and not go on the same trail twice. If you're new to the area, be sure to bring a map. It can get pretty buggy in the springtime, so bug spray is a must. Also, you'll want to do a thorough tick check. Please remember that there is hunting in the area in the fall, so wear your orange on fall rides. — Mary Ellen Iorio

Another fun ride for novices is Lockwood Forest > This area is all wide trails with very few obstacles. It features shorter trails and only a few, small hills. Lockwood Forest is a great place to teach kids how to mountain bike.
